The European Business Awards Program has recognized Antares Vision, a leading supplier of inspection and serialization systems for the pharmaceutical industry, as one of the top 13 businesses in Europe. During the European Business Awards Program ceremony in London, Antares Vision also received the ELITE Growth Strategy of the Year Award for the rapid adoption of its track and trace and serialization technology by the top global pharmaceutical companies.
The European Business Awards Program is recognized as one of the toughest business competitions in Europe with more than 24,000 businesses under consideration for recognition. The ELITE Growth Strategy of the Year Award goes to the European Business Award recipient that best demonstrates an international organic growth strategy that has achieved outstanding levels of sales, profit, and market share improvement. The ELITE award is sponsored by the London Stock Exchange Group.
In less than a decade in business, Antares Vision has become one of the leading manufacturers and technology innovators of machines and software that ensure the integrity and traceability of pharmaceutical products. More than 500 production lines in 15 countries feature Antares Vision solutions, while over 2 billion pharmaceutical packages have undergone serialization, a prerequisite to ensuring traceability from manufacturer to consumer. Antares Vision has 7 company locations worldwide, 27 sales and service offices, and just completed construction on a new headquarters facility in Brescia, Italy.
“Antares Vision partners with its pharmaceutical customers in ways that ensure this advanced technology can be effectively applied,” said Emidio Zorzella, Antares Vision CEO. “This requires a company culture that values technology, relationships, and a passion to collaborate with customers. That is why we are successful and why our growth has been so spectacular – we do everything possible to listen, collaborate, and solve problems at every stage of implementation.”
European Business Awards recipients went through a process of written submissions, video entry judging, face-to-face interviews, and were shortlisted as one of 709 National Champions and 110 Ruban d’Honneur recipients before reaching the final round. All European Union (EU) member markets were represented plus Turkey, Norway, Switzerland, Serbia, and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. The combined revenue of the entrants exceeded $1.7 trillion (€1.5 trillion), and together they generated profits of more than $66.6 billion (€60 billion) and employed more than 2.5 million people.
Supported since inception by lead sponsor and promoter RSM International, one of the largest networks of independent audit, tax, and advisory firms in the EU, the European Business Awards is now in its ninth year. Its primary purpose is to support the development of a stronger and more successful business community throughout Europe.
Jean Stephens, CEO of RSM said, “The caliber of this year’s competition finalists was outstanding. The extraordinary entrepreneurialism, innovation, and business success demonstrated by the Ruban D’Honneurs and the overall category winners shows how much can be achieved in challenging market conditions. All those involved are a credit to their country, and we wish them every success for the future.”
