Center for Trends & Technology educational series spotlights efficiency & efficacy in production

PMMI, owner and producer of PACK EXPO International, and Center for Trends & Technology (CTT) sponsors Rockwell Automation and its PartnerNetwork™ Program have established a slate of presenters and topic areas for the educational sessions to be presented at The Center for Trends & Technology (CTT): Improving Production through Innovation, at PACK EXPO International 2014 (McCormick Place, Chicago; Nov. 2–5).

CTT, which is making its second PACK EXPO appearance after debuting at PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2013, will be located in the South Hall (Booth S-3097). Subjects for the educational sessions will  include the Food Safety Modernization Act, machine safety, serialization, line integration and analytics, cloud computing and security.

“These sessions provide answers to questions that we at Rockwell Automation hear from our customers all the time,” says Mike Wagner, Global Packaging Segment Lead, Rockwell Automation. “They are very relevant across a broad base of manufacturers no matter the size and, really help in steering them to be as efficient in their plants as possible.”

Presentations will come from organizations including Cisco, Microsoft, Grantek Systems, Rockwell Automation, Interstate Control, Stone Technologies and the Alliance for Innovation and Operational Excellence (AIOE).

“In 2013, in response to attendee feedback, we moved educational opportunities out of a conference format and onto the show floor at locations including CTT and the Innovation Stages. CTT was an important component of the success of that approach then, and we’re anticipating its role in this year’s success as well,” says AJ Janosko, director, Expositions, PMMI.

Janosko adds PMMI expects PACK EXPO International 2014 and Pharma EXPO, a joint venture with the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) that will co-locate with PACK EXPO, will account for a combined 1.1 million net square feet of exhibit space, and attract 50,000 packaging and processing professionals and 2,000 exhibiting companies to McCormick Place this fall.
