UL is relocating from its current location in Vadnais Heights to expand on its existing high-tech and medical safety engineering and testing services to now offer local Human Factors Engineering services, Home Healthcare as well as access to comprehensive services to support medical and IVD manufacturers with regulatory submissions in global markets.

"Minnesota has one of the most active and innovative medical device clusters in the nation and we are pleased to be able to place some of our top talent to support this area locally," said Joe Madden, Global Sales Director for UL's Health Sciences Division.  "Now manufacturers have local access to the full product lifecycle services UL provides to support challenges that manufacturers face when trying to get their approvals."

In 2012, UL acquired Wiklund R&D located in Concord, MA, bringing years of knowledge in Human Factors Engineering for medical and other devices.  The new office in Mounds View, Minnesota will be the first major expansion of that service within North America.

UL will be hosting an open house at the new facility on September 17, 2013.  Contact Suzanne Cartmill for more information [email protected].  To learn more about the full regulatory support and local engineering services UL offers to the medical and high tech industries, visit www.ul.com/medical and www.ul.com/hitech.
