PolyOne launches Chinese language healthcare web site during Medtec China 2012

PolyOne Corporation (NYSE: POL), a premier provider of specialized polymer materials, services and solutions, has launched a new Chinese language web site focused on healthcare solutions to coincide with Medtec China 2012, September 26 - 27, Shanghai World Exhibition and Conference Center (booth #201).

Rigid vinyl medical device housing materials: Geon™ HC Rigid Vinyl solutions for medical device housings provide superior chemical resistance to hospital disinfectants and cleaners.

Pre-certified medical polymer colorants: OnColor™ HC Plus colorants, developed specifically for healthcare, medical device and pharmaceutical applications, have been pre-certified for USP Class VI biocompatibility. The PolyOne masterbatch facility in Shanghai was the first ISO 13485-certified facility among masterbatch producers in China, and is the fourth such certified facility for PolyOne globally.

Medical non-woven fiber colorants: OnColor™ fiber colorant solutions were developed to meet the needs of the fast growing nonwoven market in Asia, and offer ideal performance in spin-dyed synthetic fibers. These are widely used in medical nonwoven disposables such as surgical gowns, masks and other wearable products; surgical drapes and pads; and more.

Specialty engineered material solutions: NEU Specialty Engineered Materials, specifically formulated for urological, cardiovascular, intravenous and specialty catheters, provide superior processability and excellent appearance. These materials enable catheter manufacturers to decrease their scrap rate and increase their bottom line. NEUSpeedSM Rapid Response service, a 24-hour order fulfillment service on stocked medical formulations, is also now available in China to help speed the product development process.
