Airspray pioneered the use of mechanical, one-touch foam dispensers and popularized their use in a variety of personal care and household product market categories. Today, such foamers are used worldwide and are found throughout the typical consumer's household.

Prior to joining Airspray in 1998, Brands was Vice President - Marketing of Kohler Company, where he led marketing efforts for Kohler Plumbing Fixtures (1995 to 1998), an $800 million operating unit. Here, he was responsible for profitability, product management, pricing, market research and marketing services.

From 1993-1995, Brands was Vice President - Marketing of Sterling Plumbing Group, Inc. (also a Kohler Company). Previously, Brands was Marketing Manager - Consumer Lighting, for GTE/Sylvania Lighting Division (1989-1993). His professional experience also includes positions as Manager of New Consumer Products at Philips Lighting Company, and Manager and International Trade Advisor for the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (U.S.).

A native of The Netherlands, Brands earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from HTS Eindhoven. A Board member of Netherlands American Community Trust, Brands is an avid open water diver and a licensed pilot of single-engined aircraft. He resides in Coral Springs, Florida with his family.
