The Tekne Awards recognize Minnesota companies and individuals who have shown superior technology innovation and leadership.
The awards ceremony will be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center on Thursday, November 3, 2011.
Minntech was honored as a finalist from among the top tech-based companies in Minnesota for its latest advancement in innovation and product sterilization technology: REVOX(SM) Contract Sterilization Services.
Developed by Cantel Infection Prevention and Control Chemistries (IPCC), a new business unit formed at Minntech in 2010, the REVOX service is the only rapid turnaround, true room-temperature vapor sterilization (18 - 30 degrees C) offering for the medical, pharmaceutical and consumer products industries. The technology allows heat-sensitive devices to be sterilized without compromising materials compatibility, product quality or integrity, and also significantly reduces the preparation time of the sterilization process that is associated with other methods.
"We are excited to be named as a finalist for the Tekne Award and be recognized for our innovation," said Andrew Krakauer, President and CEO, Cantel Medical Corp. "Minntech's recent technological advancements in the sterilization arena, combined with outstanding customer support, have provided significant value to our customers. We will continue to provide new and innovative products and services to infection prevention and control markets."
Presented by the MHTA, the Tekne Awards annually recognize Minnesota's best and brightest technology users and developers in innovation, development, education, commercialization and management. A full list of finalists is available online here.
