RAPS Unveils New E-book Version of Fundamentals of US Regulatory Affairs

The Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) has launched a new electronic-book version of its popular text, Fundamentals of US Regulatory Affairs.

This content was written and submitted by the supplier. It has only been modified to comply with this publication’s space and style.

This is the first e-book from RAPS, and additional e-book versions are planned for other RAPS publications in the coming months. The new electronic format is available for Apple iPad, Amazon Kindle and Barnes & Noble's Nook e-reader. All content is searchable for quick access to critical information, and hyperlinked text allows readers to instantly access additional reference materials online.

“The reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. The e-book version of Fundamentals of US Regulatory Affairs has all the important information of the original print version in an electronic format that is convenient and intuitive, and allows the user to easily access relevant information beyond the text itself,” said RAPS Executive Director Sherry Keramidas, PhD, CAE. “It's really a great tool for regulatory professionals; we are very excited about its release, and we look forward to making other books in the fundamentals series as well as other RAPS publications accessible in this new format in the near future.”

Fundamentals of US Regulatory Affairs provides a comprehensive understanding of established US regulatory requirements across product lines, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biologics and other product classifications. It is well-suited to professionals new to US regulatory affairs, those preparing for the US Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) exam or those looking for a refresher or essential reference on key US regulatory requirements, processes and concepts.

Fundamentals of US Regulatory Affairs is available in e-book format from the RAPS Bookstore online or on site at the 2010 RAPS Annual Conference & Exhibition , currently being held in San Jose, CA, through 27 October. The price for the US Fundamentals e-book is $234.95 for RAPS members or $294.95 for nonmembers. It can also be purchased as a package with the printed book for $299.95 for members or $399.95 for nonmembers.

Members of the working media who wish to cover the 2010 RAPS Annual Conference & Exhibition may register on site with valid press credentials. Follow conference updates on Twitter with the hashtag #2010RAPS.
