Millstone Medical Hires New Director of Manufacturing Engineering

Millstone Medical Outsourcing announced today that the company recently hired John F. Ferris to be Director of Manufacturing Engineering.

Mr. Ferris will be responsible for enhancing Millstone Medical's manufacturing operations, including processes involving new technology and automation. Millstone, outsource partner to the nation's top orthopedic companies, is the fast-growing provider of advanced inspection, clean room packaging, loaner kit processing, and distribution services to medical and dental device manufacturers worldwide.

Mr. Ferris brings over 25 years of manufacturing and engineering experience, including over 15 years in operational and engineering positions at DePuy and other prominent companies. Prior to joining Millstone he served as Manager of Manufacturing Engineering for Flexcon Industries. Mr. Ferris received a degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the New England Institute of Technology. He is trained in Just-in-Time manufacturing concepts, International Standards Organization (ISO) 9001, Branson TDR programming, as well as CNC, Laser, and CMM programming. He is a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
