CMMB providing emergency relief for the Phillipines, Indonesia and The Samoas*

Natural disasters have devastated parts of The Philippines, Indonesia and the Samoas in the last few days, and CMMB (Catholic Medical Mission Board) is busy gathering and sending medical supplies to those left homeless and sick because of these events.

The organization is accepting donated antibiotics, cough and cold medicines, analgesics, anti-diarrheal medicines and medical supplies from pharmaceutical companies and medical supply companies who would like to help. Cash gifts made to CMMB will be used to defray shipping costs. Through CMMB's in-country network of partners, we are able to get these vitally needed items to those in need. Anyone wishing to help is asked to call 1 800 678 5659 or 1 212 242 7757. Email inquiries can be sent to [email protected].

For nearly 100 years, CMMB has been serving people in need of health care in the developing world. To date this year, the organization has received, more than USD$230 million in donated medicines and medical supplies, which is distributed through its trusted partners throughout the world. Its health care volunteers serve in more than 25 countries, and its HIV/AIDS and child survival programs have reached hundreds of thousands of men, women and children.
