To achieve color printing on both the front and back of its blister cards, Nite Ize Inc., a Boulder, CO-based manufacturer of outdoors equipment, turned to CardPak (Solon, OH).

CardPak’s 4/4 Combo Run service provides two-sided, full-color printing. Because the cards are gang printed with orders belonging to other customers, Nite Ize saves both time and money.

According to Mike Boyd, chief operating officer, Nite Ize used to print one side of the blister card and fold it in half to achieve color printing on both sides of the card. Now, because of the 4/4 service, he says his company saves both time and money.

The 4/4 service offers two-sided, color printing for blister, header, and insert cards. CardPak’s solvent-based coating gives the card a stronger seal and extended shelf life compared to noncoated cards. All blister, header, and insert cards are printed on clay-coated, two-side 21-pt SBS sheet run in quantities of 7귔. CardPak also guarantees the cards will ship in three weeks.

Nite Ize uses CardPak exclusively for all its cards. Additionally, three of its clamshell-packed products take advantage of the 4/4 Combo Run. —ALR
