Could dual-chamber option push stick packs?

This converted packaging format is a hit in Japan, but has received tepid response thus far in the U.S. Perhaps we're searching for more value-added improvements.

Stick packaging is popular in Japan but has been slow to catch on in the U.S. One area it's growing is in mixes that add flavor to bottled water. But it appears that brand owners elsewhere are more reluctant to dip their toe in the water and give stick packaging a chance.

Perhaps marketers in the U.S. are waiting for a more appealing package structure. Along those lines, a recently introduced dual-chamber stick pack may provide one option that engages consumers to product trial in some categories. The design enables two complementary products to be filled in a single pack that separates the products until the point of use.

The idea behind stick packaging long has been that anything that can be put in a container also can be put into a single-serve stick pack. The possibilities seem to be there with this pack from PTI Packaging Systems. It's worth a look for marketers of both dry and liquid products.
