A China-based company received FDA 510(K) clearance for their medical device that tracks a number of vital signs, and can report them from a patient's home straight to the doctor, MobiHealthNews reported, citing Medgadget.
Viatom Technologies' Checkme Pro device can be used in home or hospital mode, and tracks vitals such as heart rate and ST segment, but is also a sleep monitor, thermometer and activity tracker.
Data is sent to a companion app and then a doctor, who can view it on desktops and tablets, according to the article.
The Checkme Pro costs $479.
