Forbes' website is reporting that the Federal Trade Commission is requesting more information about the Rite Aid and Walgreens merger announced several months ago.
The proposed $9.4 billion deal, announced three months ago, has made headlines, not only with investors, but also with healthcare advocacy groups who hope the merger will help lower the cost of prescription drugs.
According to the article, the request for more information from the FTC was nothing the company didn't expect.
