The new PL-1746 PLµS plug-in module from Electro Cam Corp. (Roscoe, IL) is a programmable limit switch on a card that plugs into Allen-Bradley's SLC-500 family of PLCs.

PLSs are microprocessor-based controls that con-vert the rotary motion of a shaft into signals suitable for control of machine events. Designed for control applications requiring extremely fast responses (less than 1 millisec) for precise product or package positioning.
