PS9000 Pharmaceutical accreditation for DS Smith Cartons
DS Smith Neath, part of DS Smith Plc, has achieved PS9000:2016 certification for its carton plant in South Wales, UK. The accreditation validates the Neath site to produce printed cartons for the pharmaceutical sector.
PS 9000 is a global certification developed by the Pharmaceutical Quality Group (PQG) for the pharmaceutical packaging supply industry, and it defines specific requirements and guidance for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in conjunction with implementation of the appropriate quality and monitoring systems, including full reporting and traceability.

DS Smith Plastics, Extruded Products France announced the launch of AkyPure® − a new line of extruded polypropylene packaging for the pharmaceutical industry.
AkyPure has been developed in collaboration with key players in the industry. The new product line consists of hygienic, fiber-free and moist resistant packaging solutions manufactured in compliance with International Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) that ensures products are consistently produced and controlled according to established quality standards.
