The world's largest gathering of
clinical diagnostics companies and lab technicians, The American
Association of Clinical Chemistry, is about to commence in Philadelphia.
Kalorama Information will attend the clinical expo, where hundreds of in
vitro diagnostic companies and suppliers will exhibit their new products
and services. The healthcare market research firm will promote its IVD
market research studies and subscription products. Kalorama will also
provide interested readers with live information from the floor of the
convention.
"We'll be watching for product trends, new menus, and issues such as
cybersecurity, consumer IVD and Big Data," said Bruce Carlson, Publisher
of Kalorama Information. "Emerging markets are another area of interest,
and we'll be consulting vendors to find out - is the growth still there?"
Kalorama will tweet news from the conference floor - please follow
Kalorama on Twitter @KaloramaInfo for news.
Kalorama says that trends they will be keeping an eye on are the
increased use of molecular POC systems, liquid biopsy offerings, the
status of LDTs, new automation technologies and more.
In addition to Carlson, several members of Kalorama's staff will attend
the meeting, including analysts Emil Salazar and Shara Rosen, editor Bill
Imbornoni and several sales representatives.
This year, the firm will promote its new relationship with The Freedonia
Group, a Cleveland, OH-based firm recently acquired by Kalorama's parent
company, MarketResearch.com. The group recently released a market study
on IVD Packaging Markets.
"IVD Packaging is an important consideration for IVD products," said
Carlson. "Reagents must be packaged appropriately to function well."
The meeting is being held in the Pennsylvania Convention Center in
Philadelphia, PA from July 31st to August 4th. Kalorama will be live
tweeting at the event - their Twitter is @KaloramaInfo. Kalorama
Information will promote its Knowledge Center database for IVD companies
interested in up to date and comprehensive market data, and its new
edition of The Worldwide Market for In Vitro Diagnostics.
