MJS Packaging recently welcomed Matthew McDonnell as the company’s new Director of Business Development. In this role, Matthew will be focused on developing and implementing plans to increase existing business and capture new opportunities, and will be an active member of the Sales team. In addition, Matthew will continue to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of MJS Packaging, a position he has held since late 2010.

“We are very fortunate to have Matthew joining our day-to-day team,” said David Lubin, President of MJS Packaging. “We have great confidence in Matthew’s ability to utilize his strategic planning, leadership skills and sales experience to drive continued success for our company. As a fifth generation member of the Jacob family, he has the unique opportunity to build upon the foundation started by his great-great-grandfather.”

Matthew’s extensive experience is rooted in the nutraceuticals industry. He spent 18 years in various sales and leadership roles, working with both manufacturers and distributors. In addition, Matthew launched a successful business focused on the parallel export of nutraceuticals. Matthew is a graduate of the University of California Santa Cruz and resides in Scotts Valley, CA with his wife and two children.

“I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to build upon the success experienced in the first 130 years of MJS Packaging,” said Matthew. “I look forward to laying the building blocks for continued growth and strengthening our legacy to carry us into the next 130 years.”
