OIA Global, a provider of worldwide logistics, global packaging, and materials sourcing has announced a major expansion of their Southwest Express Direct LCL service from Southeast Asia into the USA. Eric Okimoto, OIA's Executive Vice President of Global Operations said, "When we started the direct 12-14 day service out of Hong Kong and Shenzhen last year, we were surprised how quickly customers adopted the service into their Asia supply chain." Southwest Express utilizes only OIA facilities for warehousing, consolidation, and devanning which ensures consistent transit times and reduces the chances for customs delays. The expansion includes nine new origins and services destinations in the Mid-South and Southwest USA.

"Our clients are optimizing their import/export logistics spend by utilizing OIA's expedited ocean consolidation services for what formerly may have required airfreight service in order to meet time critical requirements," noted Dante Fornari, OIA's Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing. "Our Direct LCL consolidation services reduce transit times and costs, through the utilization of our own deconsolidation facilities, and through seamless customs clearance," Fornari said. OIA's Southwest Express includes automated shipment visibility from origin to final destination driving supply chain simplicity and ease of use for the small to medium sized importer.
