PolyOne will highlight forward-thinking technologies for packaging and provide insights into creating emotional connections through packaging at this year’s PACK EXPO in Las Vegas.
“Converters and brand owners work with us to make material, color and finish selections that create emotional connections with their consumers, taking advantage of our design experience as well as our expertise in passive and active barrier solutions,” said Darcy Meyers, global marketing director, packaging. “From product protection to aesthetics, we offer packaging customers one of the largest polymer-based solution sets available.”
Building emotional connections with consumers through packaging starts by understanding the consumer’s mindset. To help customers strengthen their grasp of this critical factor, PolyOne InVisiOSM designer Theresa Patton will provide insights and inspiration during a lunch seminar being held on September 29.
New aluminum cap liner technology, GLS Versaflex PKG 4190 thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), will also be featured. This advanced material meets the need for preserving taste and aroma of sensitive beverages, and requires lower processing temperatures than traditional TPEs to save energy and enhance manufacturing flexibility.
Additional PolyOne technologies being featured include:
- PreservaPak high-barrier sheet and rollstock solutions for food protection
- Valiant medical-grade packaging rollstock
- Duragard sheet and rollstock for household and personal care packaging
- ColorMatrix light and gas barrier additives for food, beverage and personal care products
- Soft-touch GLS TPE solutions for differentiated food, beverage, and personal care packaging
- Percept solutions to create packaging that signals authentic products
PolyOne is exhibiting at PACK EXPO, September 28 - 30, in the Brand Zone (booth 6464), South Hall.
