For groninger this year’s Achema ended with good results and many happy faces. The market leading machine manufacturer presented various product innovations and with its new business unit showed it is absolutely ready and set to go for the future. The family owned company demonstrated its expertise in turn-key solutions for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry and for the first time in history also for the consumer healthcare industry. The international trade fair for the processing industry took place from 15 to 19 June 2015 in Frankfurt. Throughout these five days the groninger trade fair team worked at full speed and stayed true to their slogan “Ready, Set, Go!”.

Already on the second day the 40 headed groninger team had reason to cheer. A well-known Indian pharmaceutical manufacturer placed a major order for a vial filling and closing line, worth several million Euros, which pleased the team enormously: “For us this project is proof for the great team spirit at our family owned company.” Jens Groninger commented proudly. Due to a clear boost in the Asian pharmaceutical industry, the sales team needs to respond very quickly and flexibly. Apart from this large order many other projects were discussed - some of them led to further orders.

The company used this exhibition of the industries in Frankfurt as a kick-off for the new product portfolio: with “Consumer Healthcare” as a new business unit the machine manufacturer now focuses on a third industry. This approach clearly proved groninger right. A significant number of requests was allocated to consumer healthcare. “This clearly gives us the confirmation that we take the right path with our strategic direction.” states Jens Groninger.

One highlight on the open and welcoming booth clearly was the area showing the new machine concept FlexPro 50. Here groninger introduced its newly developed, standardized and still highly flexible machine series for the sterile processing of nested syringes, cartridges and vials. Being able to communicate all characteristics of the FlexPro 50, groninger was eager to have a live machine at the booth for demonstration. On top of that, visitors could watch a brief trailer on the intriguing flexibility of the machine concept. Furthermore they were given the chance to experience the easy configuration of a fully functional, synchronized machine line at a digital panel. “We succeeded quite well in communicating the diversity of the technical possibilities and features in a very easy way.” Sales Director Dieter Derr summarizes. Together with isolator manufacturer Franz Ziel GmbH groninger developed the modular machine concept with its various levels of automation. Based on the Ready Engineered Philosophy, fair market delivery times can be offered accordingly. The exhibited machine line entailed a semi-automatic bag opener, a fully automatic de-lid and de-lining unit with successive filling and closing of nested vials.

All in all Jens Groninger sums up: “This success at the Achema for us is a remarkable accomplishment. We were able to start many new projects and we even received quite a few new orders.”
