Medical Fair India 2015 Attracts Over 10,400 Trade Visitors

More than 10,400 international trade visitors (about 2,400 more than last year), attended MEDICAL FAIR INDIA 2015, 21th International Exhibition and Conference India¹s No. 1 Trade Fair for Hospitals, Health Centers and Clinics, in New Delhi to learn about product innovations for the Indian health care sector.

More than 10,400 international trade visitors (about 2,400 more than last year), attended MEDICAL FAIR INDIA 2015, 21th International Exhibition and Conference - India¹s No. 1 Trade Fair for Hospitals, Health Centers and Clinics, in New Delhi to learn about product innovations for the Indian health care sector. Exhibitor participation at MEDICAL FAIR INDIA has also been constantly increasing over the past few years and at the 2015 staging, 447 exhibitors from 18 countries presented a comprehensive product portfolio on over 56,500 square feet of net exhibit space. The 289 exhibitors from abroad underscored the international importance of MEDICAL FAIR INDIA which is held alternately in New Delhi and Mumbai.

³Medical Fair India is a one of a kind medical and healthcare event offering an ideal international platform for the medical and healthcare industry. It is on its way to becoming the most successful and exceptional exhibition to showcase medical technologies,² stated Rajiv Nath, Chairman of AIMED, the Association of Indian Medical Device Industry.

This year the trade fair introduced the new segment ³Hospital Infrastructure² and started with an accompanying technical conference onthe topics ³Hospital Infrastructure & Planning² and ³Medical Device & Technology². Consisting of high-caliber lectures and panel discussions, the conference agenda offered decision-makers from clinics, medical professionals, retailers and industry and healthcare agents an ideal platform to learn about trends and network with experts. In addition to the conferences, independent workshops allowed the exhibitors to present themselves to the visitors.

MEDICAL FAIR INDIA 2015 benefited from the booming Indian health market which experts expect to grow to US$ 280 billion by 2020. Especially in the innovation-driven and export-oriented field of medical device technology, India is developing into a key position for which the Government already drafted a new bill on standards in medical device technology.

Dr. Pradeep Bhardwaj, CEO of the Six Sigma Accreditation Board company, praised the importance of the event for the Indian health business: ³It is nice to see the power of MEDICAL FAIR INDIA. Really, this medical trade fair was an international meeting place, which has opened up new opportunities in the healthcare industry. During MEDICAL FAIR INDIA 2015, Medgate Today, India¹s leading trade magazine for medical professionals, presented the renowned MT India Healthcare Award to fourteen Indian companies and individuals. Trade fair visitors included numerous top leaders from the healthcare sector as well as well-known personalities such as Prof. Dr. Wali, Physician to the President of India, Shailendra Kumar, Director of the Ministry of Health & Family, Government of India, Prashant Kumar, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India, Jürgen Maerschand, Government of Flanders, T.S. Srinivasan, Embassy of Belgium as well as Jan Luykx, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium.

MEDICAL FAIR INDIA 2015 was supported by national associations such as the Association of Diagnostics Manufacturers of India (admi), the Association of Healthcare Providers India (AHPI), the Medical Surgical and Healthcare Industry Trade Association (MSAHITA) as well as the Indian Association of Sports Medicine, the Indian Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the hospitals Apollo Hospitals Group and Fortis Healthcare Limited.

The international partners of the event included the Association of British Healthcare Industries (abhi), the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products (CCCMHPIE), the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), the German Healthcare Export Group (GHE), the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the Korea Medical Devices Industrial Coop. Association (KMDICA), the Metal Industrial Research & Development Centre from Taiwan (MIRDC), the Malaysian Rubber Export Promotion Council (MREPC), the Shenzhen Association of Medical Devices (SAMD), SPECTARIS as well as the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers¹ Association (ZVEI).

MEDICAL FAIR INDIA is part of Messe Düsseldorf¹s ³World of MEDICA² program of medial events organized all over the world. The growing success of MEDICAL FAIR INDIA is also stimulated by the close cooperation with the Düsseldorf-based (Germany) MEDICA trade fair, the leading international trade fair for the medical sector.

2016.
