Pharma Tech Industries, one of the largest pharmaceutical contract manufacturers and packagers of powder products in the world, has added Dennis J. Kinsey as Director of Business Development. With more than 30 years of industry experience, Mr. Kinsey has applied his supply chain and operations expertise at such companies as Johnson & Johnson, GlaxoSmithKline’s Consumer Healthcare division, AstraZeneca and, most recently, Insight Pharmaceuticals.

Mr. Kinsey replaces Carl Oberg, who has retired following 13 years of exemplary service to Pharma Tech. Mr. Oberg has helped Mr. Kinsey transition his sales and account management responsibilities, which involve developing and supervising Pharma Tech account management employees and targeting new sales opportunities with new and existing customers.

Mr. Kinsey will work closely with Rich Loughlin, VP of Strategic Sales, and be a major part of Pharma Tech’s continued growth plans. In addition to Mr. Kinsey’s hiring, Pharma Tech has undergone a major corporate rebranding initiative, added an analytical laboratory for both Rx and OTC drugs in its Royston, Georgia production facility, and is nearing completion on a multi-million-dollar expansion of its manufacturing plant in Union, Missouri.

Mr. Kinsey is no stranger to Pharma Tech, having collaborated for more than 10 years on the Caldescene® powders brand as part of his 20 years at Insight Pharmaceuticals. As Vice President of Operations there, he served to help transform the company into a leading provider of OTC women’s healthcare solutions. Among other career achievements, Mr. Kinsey oversaw a large product acquisition for the brand Monistat from Johnson & Johnson that resulted in enormous cost savings and increased efficiencies.

“Dennis brings an extensive level of experience and track record of high-level accomplishments to Pharma Tech, and will fit in well with our diverse team of pharmaceutical supply chain experts, engineers and executives,” said Tee Noland, Chairman & CEO of Pharma Tech Industries.

A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Mr. Kinsey is on the supply chain committee of the Consumer HealthCare Products Association and belongs to the American Inventory Control Society (APICS). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Villanova University, and is currently a Master in Business Administration candidate in the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. A father of two, he resides in Lansdale, PA, with his wife, Mary Ann.
