“SemiTorr” will sell Rinco’s portfolio of ultrasonic bonding and cutting machinery for a wide range of markets. The agreement will help Rinco expand its penetration in key end-use markets, such as medical and food and beverage in the Western U.S.

“We’re pleased to establish this relationship with SemiTorr which is a large, well-established manufacturers’ representative organization with broad reach and strong relationships in key end-use markets,” said Gordon Hull, managing director of Rinco Ultrasonics. Hull specifically noted SemiTorr’s strong Life Sciences Division which is expected to spur growth for Rinco products in the medical market, along with its ties to the food and beverage industry. “We look forward to expanding our reach in these key markets,” added Hull.

SemiTorr will establish a testing lab at its facility in Livermore, Calif., which will house a range of Rinco welding equipment. Potential customers will be able to perform product evaluations and testing there. SemiTorr will provide all support services including technical marketing, account management, application development, customer service, warehousing, and logistics.

“We welcome this new agreement which expands our portfolio options for customers,” said Mike Frank, SemiTorr President. “Our strategy to align our business with global industry leaders is further solidified by this agreement with Rinco.”

Rinco products are used to weld plastic components and to cut food products as well as synthetic textiles. Apart from microprocessor-controlled generators, and both machine and hand-welding equipment, the company also supplies components to be integrated with special purpose machines.

With a wide range of frequencies and power outputs from 100 to 3000 Watts, Rinco can offer a suitable system for almost any application. Welding technology is applied in various sectors including automotive, medical, textile processing, food processing, packaging, electrical engineering, plant and machinery construction, telecommunications, and household and leisure.
