The Green Master distinction signifies Phillips-Medisize as a business leader in sustainability, by scoring in the top 20% of companies that participated.

“Phillips-Medisize has implemented creative strategies, which define them as a leader in sustainability,” said Tom Eggert, Executive Director of the WI Sustainable Business Council. “Phillips-Medisize has made going green a part of their strategy to improve business performance. They’ve adopted environmental and social programs that benefit their business, community, employees, and their customers.”

“Sustainable business practices allow organizations, like ours, to produce quality products and services, cost effectively, while contributing positively to the environment. While we embrace environmental stewardship to help drive improved business performance, out of concern for our people, environment, and communities, we all win,” commented Matt Jennings, Phillips-Medisize President and CEO.

Over the past two years, Phillips-Medisize has received other environmental awards such as Green Tier participation of its final Wisconsin facility from the Department of Natural Resources; Green Business for its three Eau Claire, Wisconsin locations; and Wisconsin Business Friend of the Environment.

The Green Masters award was presented to Phillips-Medisize representatives at the 6th Annual Wisconsin Sustainability Business Council Conference on December 13, 2013.
