Multisorb Technologies will be showcasing its active packaging solutions at Pharmapack Europe in Paris, France. This international exhibition, which brings together over 300 suppliers of packaging and drug delivery solutions to the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and healthcare industry, will take place February 12-13, 2014.
Multisorb will feature its active packaging solutions including oxygen absorbers, moisture management solutions, desiccants, and volatile adsorbers. To accommodate a wide array of packaging configurations and customer needs, Multisorb’s solutions are available in Drop-In, Fit-In, and Built-In platforms in customized standard or IntelliSorb® Intelligent Sorbent Formulations.
Drop-In solutions, such as StripPax® Sorbent and Desiccant Packets and StabilOx® Oxygen Absorbing Packets, are place directly into the product packaging. These Drop-In products are offered as part of part of a Multisorb system. The StripPax System and the StabilOx System, which combine the respective packet with its corresponding dispenser, leverage the advantage of using identical manufacturing and inspection technology to offer the most reliable dispensing system available.
Multisorb will be demonstrating the StripPax System, featuring the APA-2000 StripPax Dispenser with a bottling line interface. The APA-2000 high-speed, automated StripPax Dispenser is capable of dispensing rates up to 300 packets per minute, giving it the ability to keep up with the fastest packaging line speeds.
When Drop-In solutions are not practical, Fit-In solutions, such as Multiform CSF® Coated Solid Form Sorbents, can be made into shapes that fit your package, rather than making your package conform to the sorbent.
Built-In solutions, such as PolySorb® Sorbent Components protect your multiple use device or packaging from moisture by turning an ordinary internal product component into a desiccant. Multisorb will incorporate desiccant properties directly into a product’s thermoplastic component, allowing it to adsorb moisture from the product’s hermetically sealed interior space.
