The business will be owned by Nelipak® Corporation (“Nelipak”) and operate under the name of Nelipak®Healthcare Packaging. Nelipak is a newly formed company owned by Mason Wells, management and other co-investors.
Headquartered in Cranston, RI, the company is a leader in the design, development and manufacturing of custom designed aseptic thermoformed packaging for the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. The predecessor business to Nelipak was founded in 1953, and currently operates from four production facilities, one in North America – located in Cranton, RI.; two in Europe - located in Venray, the Netherlands and Galway, Ireland; and one in Latin America - located in San Jose, Costa Rica.
Now a stand-alone company, Nelipak maintains a 60-year history of innovation in cleanroom manufactured custom thermoformed medical packaging, ISO 13485 / ISO 9001 Certified, designed to meet medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers’ most stringent packaging requirements.
The employees and suppliers of Nelipak have played an integral role in the company’s success and will continue to do so in the future. Nelipak will remain an independent business and not be affiliated with any other converting operations within Mason Wells’ portfolio.
