Packaging Coordinators Inc. (PCI) announces the hiring of Brian Keesee as Executive Director of Clinical Services for its North American Clinical division.  Keesee will lead site functions for PCI’s state-of-the-art Clinical packaging and distribution facilities located in Rockford, IL.   PCI has steadily grown its presence in the Clinical services sector, having constructed a stand-alone Clinical facility on the campus of its Rockford commercial pharmaceutical packaging location in 2011.  In addition PCI added significant Cold Chain capacity through expansions at this site including 2-8°C, -20°C and -80°C in both 2011 and 2012, with capital plans to further expand capacity yet this year to accommodate temperature controlled pharmaceutical and biotech products.   Keesee joins PCI as the company is experiencing significant growth in the Clinical Services portion of its business, particularly in its North American operations.  Complementing its North American location, PCI operates Clinical packaging, storage, and distribution facilities in the UK.  The company has undertaken capital investment and expansion for the UK operations in addition to the recent North American investments.

Keesee joins PCI with a dynamic background in pharmaceutical development, most recently with Catalent Pharma Solutions in their Clinical Supply Services unit.  Keesee helped lead global project management efforts for the company.   Prior to joining Catalent, Keesee worked at AmerisourceBergen Corporation specializing in Regulatory Compliance for its diverse pharmaceutical distribution business.  Keesee is a graduate of Missouri Western State University.

“Brian’s expertise and skill set are significant additions to our Clinical Services team,” states Bob Misher, Senior Vice President, PCI Global Clinical Services.  “Brian has demonstrated a passion for customer service that fits well with our organizational strategy and focus, namely providing the industry’s leading customer experience for our clients.  As we continue to invest in the growth and expansion of our business, PCI’s primary focus is on meeting the evolving needs of our clients.  Brian helps provide that leadership for today’s Clinical market as well as vision and insight for the future of the Clinical trial sector.”

In May 2013 PCI announced the acquisition of AndersonBrecon Inc., substantially expanding its presence in the Clinical Trial services sector.  PCI offers packaging, global distribution of investigational medicines, laboratory services, as well as an extensive suite of clinical support services.  PCI recently announced substantial investment in its packaging and Cold Chain storage capacity to support continued growth and expansion of both its Clinical and Commercial packaging services.  The company operates 14 facilities across North America and Europe, with over 2,200 associates.  On behalf of its clients, PCI packages lifesaving medicines destined for over 100 countries around the world.
