Packaging Coordinators Inc. (PCI) is pleased to announce the addition of Jaime Houghton to the North American Clinical Services team.  Houghton will be based out of PCI’s state-of-the-art North American Clinical packaging and distribution site located in Rockford, IL. Houghton will oversee the project management and planning activities for PCI’s expanding clinical packaging group.  PCI is experiencing significant growth in the Clinical Services portion of its business, which operates both in North America as well as Europe, providing study medications to investigational sites around the globe.

Houghton comes to PCI with an extensive background in Clinical development across several healthcare platforms, most recently with Hollister Incorporated.  Prior to work with Hollister, Houghton spent over twenty years in various leadership positions around clinical study and laboratory development with Baxter Healthcare Corporation.  Houghton is a graduate of Drake University, with a Master of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

“We could not be more pleased to have someone of Jaime’s background and skills joining our Clinical Services team” states Bob Misher, Senior Vice President, PCI Global Clinical Services.  “Coupled with the overall growth of our Clinical business and recent investment, adding Jaime really sets the tone for the continued growth and expansion of our business in meeting the needs of our clients both now and in the future.  Coming from the pharmaceutical and biotech sector, Jaime really understands the needs of healthcare manufacturers, clinical trial administrators, and of course the patients receiving these lifesaving medications.  Her insights will be a great addition to the leadership team.”

In May 2013 PCI announced the acquisition of AndersonBrecon Inc., substantially expanding its presence in the Clinical Trial services sector.  PCI offers packaging, global distribution of investigational medicines, laboratory services, as well as an extensive suite of clinical support services.  PCI recently announced substantial investment in its packaging and Cold Chain storage capacity to support continued growth and expansion of both its Clinical and Commercial packaging services.  The company operates 14 facilities across North America and Europe, with over 2,200 associates.  On behalf of its clients, PCI packages lifesaving medicines destined for over 100 countries around the world.
