Italian packaging and processing companies come together to form a network and grow on emerging global markets. It’s the birth of “Processing&Packaging: The High-Tech Italian Way”, an industry network founded by five leading companies in processing and packaging technology. Ipack-Ima Spa, the organizer of the eponymous international exhibition taking place every three years at Fiera Milano, will be in charge of the network’s operations and management. Italian companies active in the processing and packaging supply chain vie with their German counterparts for first place in exports (generating about 90% of total proceeds) and have built an excellent reputation in the international arena due to their technological abilities and manufacturing flexibility. The newborn network was established to reinforce Italian companies’ business on foreign markets and increase the attractiveness of the “Italian system” in connection to new sales channels in rapidly growing economies.

“The High-Tech Italian Way” offers an extensive portfolio of integrated technological solutions designed to provide international buyers with a full suite of products and services, thus strengthening individual businesses and exploiting trade events as a promotional springboard on emerging markets. Between 2013 and 2015, the network should strike agreements with Italian public institutions supporting promotional activities as well as with key international organizations and trade exhibition organizers.

“We joined the network with strong conviction right from its foundation: the network system ensures great flexibility and enables to join forces in order to be successful on emerging markets, which are still quite complex and challenging for individual companies to face on their own”, says Gian Mario Ronchi, appointed chairman of the network. “We chose Ipack-Ima Spa as operational leader of the programme in light of the growing importance of exhibition organizers, which are increasingly representative of the technology industry and today are capable of gathering a large number of companies and, consequently, a comprehensive  technology offer”. Ronchi is the owner of Mario Ronchi Spa, a leading company in filling machinery for detergents, cosmetics, chemicals, food and pharmaceuticals. “Ipack-Ima’s commitment in this initiative is consistent with our philosophy to act as global partners for our exhibitors, supporting their internationalization efforts – explains Ipack-Ima CEO Guido Corbella – through our worldwide network of contacts with key packaging players including associations, trade literature and event organizers.”
