Exhibitors have long formed the backbone of INTERPHEX and will be out in force this year as more than 650 suppliers, including more than 150 new exhibitors, occupy the Facilities, Manufacturing & Packaging, Automation: Systems & Controls and Sourcing & Services floor zones. The event will bring suppliers together with attendees who are sourcing and purchasing for open projects, as well as with those who need to stay current on new products and services. More than 90 new products and services are scheduled to be launched at the show.

A number of displays and activities will also be featured to foster contact between exhibitors and attendees. These include:
• The Category Award and Special Recognition winners of the 2012 Facility of the Year (FOYA) program, sponsored by ISPE, INTERPHEX, and Pharmaceutical Processing magazine. The winning projects are located in Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, and the USA and will be displayed at the ISPE booth in the Crystal Palace on Level 3. Representatives from each will be available to discuss their projects.
• Outsourcing One-on-One Meetings, sponsored by Contract Pharma, which will match attendees with sourcing needs together with contract manufacturers and other service providers in a staffed meeting center with private meeting rooms.
• Eight 45-minute Technical Workshops, led by Bosch, EMD Millipore Corporation, Emerson, Fette Compacting America, GE Healthcare, Glatt Air Techniques, Pall Life Sciences, STERIS, and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
• The Integrated Project Services (IPS)-led exhibit technology floor tours, providing attendees and suppliers with opportunities to discuss advanced aseptic, biologics and oral solid dosage form manufacturing. Note: all technology floor tours are currently at capacity.
The IPS tours complement a completely re-engineered conference program that reflects the cross functional team approach required to bring products successfully into the marketplace. This emphasis, developed by the INTERPHEX 2012 Advisory Board, will focus conference sessions, technical workshops and special Thursday presentations on the strategic connections between processes and suppliers in effective product development. The program tracks are Regulatory QA/QC, Product Development, Facility & Process Design, Manufacturing & Packaging and Supply Chain.
“We have developed a program that tracks the way firms move a product to market, and strengthened the alignment between INTERPHEX's traditionally strong exhibit platform and its educational components,” said Russ Somma, Ph.D., President, Somma Tech LLC and an Advisory Board member. “Attendees will be able to broaden their knowledge through the sessions and workshops, and then be able to go out on the floor and talk with the suppliers who contribute to each track.

The show will host an Opening Night Reception on Tuesday, May 1, open to all attendees and exhibitors. There will also be a VIP Lounge and ISPE members will have access to the ISPE Member Lounge. Exhibitors and attendees will have online access through the Cyber Café in the Crystal Palace, sponsored by Life Science Leader, Jubilant Hollister Stier and Pharmaceutical Online.
