SteriPack acquires new facility in Lakeland, Florida, USA.

SteriPack has recently acquired a new facility based in Lakeland, Florida, USA to extend the Company's product reach in the Americas. The 40,000 square foot facility is expected to be operational by the end of summer 2012, extending the product range by providing a portfolio of Cleanroom Medical Packaging Products and Contract Manufacturing Solutions. The new facility further complements the facilities in Europe and Asia.

The US facility will build on SteriPack's reputation of providing high quality and service. The first lines will be commissioned in the coming months and include slitting and printing equipment for producing chevron-style pouches, corner peel pouches, headerbags and Steribag®, the Company's alternate headerbag system. Gary Leonard, SteriPack's Technical Manager in Ireland, will move to the USA to oversee the facility as Vice President of Operations in Lakeland.
