PMMI Announces 2011 PACK EXPO Selects™ Call for Entries

PACK EXPO Selects™ recognizes innovation in commercial packages developed, produced or executed by PACK EXPO exhibitors. The deadline for entry forms is Friday, July 29, 2011, and samples of all entries must be submitted no later than Monday, Aug. 15, 2011.To qualify for the competition, commercial packages must have been developed, designed, converted or packaged by one or more PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2011 exhibitors. They must have debuted in the marketplace within the last 12 months. Finally, they must incorporate some remarkable graphic or structured design feature, exhibit outstanding precision and quality in manufacturing, or have been converted or packaged in a unique production system.PACK EXPO Selects™ entries will be reviewed by a panel of industry peers and narrowed down to 10 finalists. Finalists receive free pre-show, onsite and post-show promotion including:

•Recognition during the show via an electronic vote tally set up in The Showcase of Packaging Innovations® sponsored by The Dow Chemical Company;
•Editorial coverage in PMT Magazine of the finalists and winning packaging, and the packaging supply chain contributors who made it possible;
•Email blast to all PACK EXPO attendees highlighting the finalists pre-show and the winning entry post-show;
•PMMI press release;
•Article in PMMI Reports; and
•Presentation of a PACK EXPO Selects award on site .
