Liberty Carton's manufacturing facilities in the Minneapolis area produce more than a billion square feet of corrugated material per year. The primary source of paper for corrugating at Liberty Carton is 100 percent recycled content from sister company Liberty Paper.

The company's Minnesota-based operations were certified after the company successfully introduced the strict environmental management system by the International Organization for Standardization that requires an organization to monitor and continually improve its performance. The standard encompasses all the environmental effects of a manufacturing site, including energy use, water treatment, recycling, waste disposal, and air and noise quality.
