Catalent appoints new leadership talent in global manufacturing site

· Jochen Rohe, Country General Manager, softgel manufacturing, Catalent Japan joins after a long global career at BASF;

· David Bricker, General Manager, sterile technologies at Catalent's Woodstock blow/fill/seal facility joins with extensive sterile manufacturing career at Anheuser Busch, Boehringer Ingelheim and AstraZeneca;

· Sergio Alter, General Manager at Catalent Buenos Aires recently expanding leading softgel manufacturing facility joins after a distinguished career at Sandoz and Janssen-Cilag.

Jochen Rohe has been appointed Country General Manager for softgel manufacturing for Catalent Japanand will be responsible for driving growth and operational excellence in two Japanese facilities. He joins Catalent as an accomplished leader with over 20 years of global experience in all phases of the drug development and manufacturing cycle. Mr. Rohe previously served as President and Representative Director for BASF's crop protection business, overseeing sales, marketing, development and operations. In 2001, Mr. Rohe relocated to China to become Division Manager of BASF China, Ltd., where he ran manufacturing operations for the fine chemicals business and served as a General Manager of the vitamins segment.

David Bricker has been appointed General Manager, sterile technologies at Catalent's Woodstock facility, and brings years of experience in sterile operations and manufacturing with Anheuser Busch, Boehringer Ingelheim, Astra Zeneca and KV Pharmaceutical. Mr. Bricker brings expertise in blow/fill/seal technology and operations and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Sergio Alter has been appointed General Manager, for softgel manufacturing in Catalent's Buenos Airesfacility. Mr. Alter joins Catalent from Sandoz Argentina where he was serving as Head of Technical Operations since 2007. While at Sandoz, he led a plant expansion which involved the site's approval by the US, European and Japanese regulatory agencies. Along with his responsibilities for Operations, he was acting General Manager for the Argentinean market during 2008. Before Sandoz, Mr. Alter held several roles of increasing responsibility at Janssen-Cilag, Novartis and more recently PhoenixArgentina. He joins as the site completes a major expansion to provide state of the art softgel development and manufacturing services to Rx and OTC clients in Latin America, United States and globally. Softgel capsules are a patient preferred dosage form that also helps improve bioavailability and solubility challenges for pharmaceutical and consumer health companies as well as expand the range of APIs they can take to market.
