The 'green' overhaul included the replacement of existing lighting equipment with energy efficient lamps and energy efficient ballasts.

These efforts will result in an estimated energy savings of 150,712 kWh per year. The expected reduction in energy usage equates to 13,652 gallons of fossil fuel saved, 21 cars removed from roads and 44 acres of trees planted.

“Mega Pumps is pleased with our initial efforts to reduce our environmental impact, but we realize that this has to be an ongoing effort,” said Janis Swindlehurst, Vice President and General Manager of Mega Pumps. “We remain conscious of the importance of sustainability and will continue our commitment of finding new ways to operate as a green organization.”
