Medtronic exec to deliver keynote at HealthPack 2010

Charles Sidebottom, director, corporate standards for Medtronic, Inc., will delivery the keynote presentation at HealthPack 2010.

HealthPack is scheduled March 2-4, 2010 at the Sheraton Gunter in San Antonio, TX. The annual event focuses on developments in medical device packaging.

Sidebottom, who is currently serving as Chair of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation's (AAMI, www.aami.org) board of directors, will address AAMI's position in the matrix of medical device packaging standards. He will also discuss AAMI functions and how they have influenced and benefited from medical device packaging standards.

A nurses forum will review and analyze medical device packages, similar to HealthPack 2009, reporting what nursing professionals think about packages--especially in relation to intense emergency/operating room circumstances. A third edition of the HealthPack exclusive AORN study will be compiled with up-to-the-minute information about how packages have an impact on medical professionals and what to do to make them better.
