CHEP Recognized as Green Provider

Annual award recognizes company for environmental stewardship while having a positive impact on their bottom line.

CHEP Pallecon Solutions and CHEP Automotive & Industrial Solutions were named to Supply & Demand Chain Executive (S&DCE) magazine’s 2017 Green Providers list. The annual award recognizes companies whose products, services or exemplary environmental stewardship are promoting sustainability within supply chains while making a positive impact on the environment as well as their bottom line.

This recognition follows a recent announcement that Brambles, a supply chain logistics company operating through the CHEP and IFCO brands, was ranked as the top performing company by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) in the global Commercial Services and Supplies industry category for 2017. Brambles’ approach to sustainability involves efforts to reduce carbon emissions, water usage and waste sent to landfills.

Clients who convert from one-time use [paper]board packaging to CHEP reusable containers save storage space and streamline transportation, reducing the number of trucks on the road and minimizing greenhouse gas emissions. CHEP’s collapsible stackable containers are designed to be reused for years, then recycled after their useful life, avoiding the landfill waste and the depletion of natural resources associated with single-use packaging.
