DuPont Safety & Construction (DuPont), a business unit of DowDuPont Specialty Products Division and SkyCell, the Swiss-based manufacturer of temperature-controlled containers for food and pharmaceuticals, have announced a formal alliance to collaborate on technical and market development.
The companies are partnering with the goal of innovation in temperature monitoring, shipment tracking, asset management and “smart” data-driven services. The combined effort is aimed at maintaining the physical and clinical integrity of pharmaceuticals in transit.
The alliance will create pharmaceutical cold chain services for customers around the world. Under the terms of the agreement, DuPont, manufacturer of Tyvek® brand thermal cargo covers, will gain access to SkyCell’s remote temperature-management systems and acquire marketing rights to the SkyCell portfolio of insulated shipping containers.
The SkyCell containers will be marketed by DuPont alongside its Tyvek® products, including cargo covers. SkyCell will tap into the technical resources of DuPont and its global network, particularly in emerging markets and the Asia-Pacific region.
