The Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA), the U.S.-based trade association representing primary pharmaceutical distributors, will convene the Fourth Annual International Pharmaceutical Distribution Conference (IPDC) at the Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva in Geneva, Switzerland, October 16–17, 2017. This year’s conference will be held in partnership with pharmalog.ch, swiss pharma logistics association; the European Healthcare Distribution Association (GIRP); and the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers (IFPW). The IPDC was previously held in Beijing, Brussels and, most recently, London.

This premier event is designed for pharmaceutical distributor, manufacturer and supply chain stakeholder executives from around the globe to participate in educational sessions centered on the business practices and emerging strategies that will help preserve patient safety, enhance security and achieve efficiencies in the global pharmaceutical supply chain. The program also will explore opportunities to strengthen global trading partnerships.

Led by senior executives and leading pharmaceutical industry experts, this unique conference will feature expert-led educational sessions on:

  • The evolution of collaborative supply chain trading partnerships;
  • Pharmaceutical product traceability/medicines verification efforts from a global perspective;
  • Value-based outcomes and reimbursement;
  • The political and policy landscape shaping distribution in Europe and the U.S.;
  • The financial outlook for the global pharmaceutical market; and,
  • The development and role of biosimilars.

Registration for the event is now open. Visit the IPDC website to register. For conference information and available sponsorship opportunities, visit the conference website.

Executive comments on the 2017 IPDC:

“Since hosting successful conferences in Beijing, Brussels and London, HDA has continued to expand its effort to connect with our colleagues and trading partners on a global level. We are pleased to once again be working in partnership with our international counterparts to help educate and inform our supply chain partners, and look forward to continuing the effort to prepare our collective distributor members, as well as their manufacturer and retail partners, to function as one, integrated pharmaceutical supply chain.”
–John M. Gray, President and CEO, HDA

“We are proud to join our U.S., EU and international counterparts as co-hosts of HDA’s International Pharmaceutical Distribution Conference in Geneva. This meeting gives our collective members the opportunity to discuss the challenges currently faced by the industry and consider potential solutions. We look forward to tackling industry issues head on, and at the same time, expanding and solidifying our relationships within the global pharmaceutical supply chain.”
–René Jenny, President, swiss pharma logistics association

“Once again, we are happy to participate International Pharmaceutical Distribution Conference. This event offers a unique opportunity for our executives to exchange new ideas and share their best operating practices and technical approaches used by today’s pharmaceutical supply chain industry. We hope that this global platform will promote the exchange of ideas and offer valuable expertise and perspectives that will ultimately help lead to a safer and more efficient international pharmaceutical supply chain.”
–Monika Derecque-Pois, Director General, GIRP

“For the fourth consecutive year, we are delighted to be a participating member at the International Pharmaceutical Distribution Conference. There is no doubt that this year will only build upon the success of the previous three events. This conference creates an environment where, as a global industry, we can better understand perspectives on business practices and emerging strategies that will enhance access to medicines and services for patients. We look forward to joining our colleagues in Geneva and encourage our members to register for the event.”
