Packaging growth escalates in China
The late-March China Med 2011, and the July 13-15 ProPak China 2011 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, illustrate the continued growth of packaging. A People's Daily report says, "The rapid growth of the Chinese economy will no longer be sustained by exports. The domestic market of middle-income consumers is now the target for the fastest-growing sectors of the economy." Studies from The Freedonia Group, PIRA, and Research and Markets offer further evidence of packaging growth in China.
