Model 4570 integrated, automatic labeling system wraps labels onto vials. Filled and capped vials exit a filler/capper standing vertically. A short discharge chute delivers the vials back-to-back to the labeling system. The vials transfer straight into the infeed chute of the labeling system. A consistent backlog "forces" the vials into the individual roller pockets of an indexing starwheel on the labeler. A high/low sensor controls the application feed based on the amount of product backlog; the backlog must be sufficient so as to push the product into the pocket.

The horizontal starwheel rotates to present each vial to the labeler. A driven roller is located at the pocket stop position where the label will be applied. When triggered by a product sensor, the labeling head dispenses a label into the pocket while the driven roller rotates the vial. The label is applied and wiped down by the driven roller. The starwheel indexes to the next pocket.?Labeled vials exit the starwheel via a short discharge chute and drop into a product collection bin for operator removal. An optional pneumatic reject station with a UV sensor is available (UV coating required on the label material). Should the UV sensor not sense the UV coating, a pneumatic pusher rejects the product into a collection bin.
