Additives, toners for PLAs

Plastics Color Corp.’s (PCC) SoluPLAs line of additives and toner packages for modification of polylactic acid (PLA) delivers improvements in clarity and impact for food and beverage packaging.

The additive solutions are designed to enhance the physical properties and aesthetics of PLA to provide enhanced functionality and the potential for PLA to be considered for a much broader range of applications. SoluPLAs use impact modifiers, mold release agents, denesters, UV absorbers, anti-static agents, and toners to improve performance limitations. SoluPLAs additives also improve impact resistance and clarity. The additives can be formulated to meet FDA medical, pharmaceutical, and food-contact requirements. Custom formulations that can be developed to meet specific applications needs.
