Keystone installs new capital equipment and packaging technologies

Bobst2.jpgPaperboard carton company Keystone Folding Box completes a multiyear initiative to invest in new capital equipment and packaging technologies.

The Keystone Folding Box Co. has added several new printing presses and die-cutting systems, and invested in two new Bobst folder/gluers lines with integrated auto case packing, high-speed systems that provide automatic folding and gluing of cartons.

The end-of-line case packer then automatically counts and loads the printed cartons into shipping cases. The combination system also provides enhanced quality control via integrated vision systems engineered to automatically eject any products that do not meet the preset parameters for proper glue placement and case packing.

“As always, we remain committed to providing the highest quality folding cartons as well as utilizing the finest machinery and technologies available,” said Wade Hartman, president of The Keystone Folding Box Co. “Our customers demand the highest quality folding carton solutions and this investment will help Keystone maintain its leadership position in the market."

While Keystone continues to be a leader in the manufacturing and design of paperboard packaging, they are also a design center and source for non-paperboard packaging components.
