DDL is hosting a Training Course for Equipment Reliability Institute, this fall at its Minnesota Location! Distribution Packaging and Testing: Design for Distribution - Proven Methods for Reducing Costs and Damages.
DDL has confirmed that it will host a training course, presented by Equipment Reliability Institute, for industry professionals looking to minimize the costs of supply chain logistics through wiser product and packaging design and better test methods.
The three day program will focus on reducing the costs of package design and distribution. Key topics discussed during the three days include:
* Hazards of distribution
* Suggestions for test practices
* Why different problems occur in different places
* Products and components and the trade offs between packaging and better design
* Product designs that require less packaging
* How to use this knowledge for better tests and designs
"The program, which is intended for packaging engineers, supply chain managers and product engineers, is designed to give attendees a better understanding of the costs and common design consequences behind their packaging decisions," Wayne Tustin, President of Equipment Reliability Institute, said.
The program will be presented by, Kevin Howard, a leading expert in the field of distribution packaging and testing. During his 17 years at Hewlett-Packard, Howard designed several new concepts that successfully combined the interests of packaging, product design, supply chain, procurement, customer assurance and testing into a unified approach that lands the lowest costs with the highest quality possible.
