PCC-Plastics Color Corporation Hires Western Sales Team

PCC (Plastics Color Corporation), a supplier of color concentrates, pre-colored resins and additive masterbatches for the plastics industry, in May announced the decision to open a new compounding plant in Sun Valley, California.

That facility is expected to open this fall. Today the company announced the appointment of two seasoned industry sales people for the western U.S. “To date these territories have been serviced by our national sales team,” said PCC Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Joe Byrne.

The new sales representatives are Greg Bloomfield, who will initially cover most western states, and Donna Dungan, who will concentrate on California customers. Both Bloomfield and Dungan come to PCC with over 20 years each in the plastics and compounding industry. Byrne said “the addition of Donna and Greg will allow us to present our unique solutions to more customers in the West. We’re fortunate to have these two professionals join our team at such an opportune time.” PCC’s California plant is scheduled to open in Q4 of this year.

Both Dungan and Bloomfield are thrilled to join PCC during such a turning point in the company’s 40-year history. “It’s great to be joining PCC just when we’ll be able to focus on the market’s desire for local manufacturing,” said Bloomfield. “With our new California clean compounding lines, PCC will be equipped to handle the needs of medical device, pharmaceutical, and food and beverage packaging manufacturers said Dungan.

“It’s great that, while many others in our industry are shuttering facilities and reducing staff, PCC is doing the opposite,” said PCC President Doug Borgsdorf. “It’s a real credit to our sales, technical and operations team. We are offering higher quality and better value to our customers and introducing new technology and manufacturing methods, including our clean compounding capabilities, that will be at the heart of our California operations.”
