Casey Container Corp. management reports that the Company has been receiving a stream of preorders for its biodegradable preforms used in the manufacturing of its new brand of biodegradable plastic bottles.
Utilizing the new FDA-compliant EcoPure® technology, Casey Container is preparing to produce custom plastic container products that utilize standard polymers such as PET for strength, shelf-life, appearance and longevity, but have the added advantage of being 100 percent biodegradable in both compost and landfill environments, where the material is consumed by microbial activity in 2 to 5 years.
This strong demand for the products, even prior to the start-up of the manufacturing facility is seen as an indication of the popularity of the new product, which is also completely compatible with conventional waste streams.
Company Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Terry Neild states, “We are already receiving continuous requests for preorders of our products based on the information that we can furnish. These potential long-term customers are ready to commit now to ensure that they are first in line to be able to adopt our ground-breaking container products.”
“Based on the level of interest expressed and strong commitment by manufacturers to shift to a truly green solution for bottles and containers, I am confident that as we start manufacturing, demand will outpace our initial production,” Neild says.
