Protective packaging study points to gains for insulated shippers

iStock_ShipperFreedonia.jpgA new study from The Freedonia Group says U.S. demand for protective packaging will grow to $5.2 billion in 2014.

For pharmaceuticals and biologics, where temperature control is vital through every step of the supply chain to insure the drug delivers maximum efficacy, Freedonia predicts solid gains for insulated shippers.

A recovering economy, increased manufacturing and the proliferation of Internet sales all point to increases in sales of foamed plastic, molded pulp, air pillows, and bubble packaging as well.
