HCP signs lease to open factory in Mexico*

HCP Packaging USA, Inc. announced today their intention to expand their manufacturing capacity and capabilities in North America.

The company will open a new factory Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico.

The factory will occupy a 60,000 square foot facility located in the Villa Florida Industrial Park, approximately 15 minutes from the US border. Manufacturing capabilities will include injection molding, injection blow molding, UV lacquering, vacuum metalizing, as well as decoration and assembly.

HCP Reynosa is expected to be fully operational during the first quarter of 2010, and will employ approximately 130 people. It was also announced that John Leitner has been appointed Plant Manager.

HCP intends to transfer a portion of its activities from its Hinsdale, New Hampshire and Shanghai, PRC facilities to the new factory.

“We are extremely excited to announce this expansion to our North American manufacturing activities.

The Reynosa factory will provide an excellent platform in support of our sales growth initiatives in this region.”
