Five new printers for medical device, pharmaceutical, and food applications were introduced this week at Pack Expo by Greydon Inc. One of them uses a patent-pending web handling system, Advance Trax, that controls the speed of the web advance independently of the packaging machine or printer. Printers include: Black Max II single-color rotary flexo printer with Advance Trax; MMP/IJ flexographic/inkjet system; S-107 HS hi-speed thermal-transfer printer; GC 220-EP egg carton printer with disposable ink cartridge; and an ink-jet case printer said to be half the cost of high-resolution programmable printers.
